The Rangers were whistled for their sixth "too many men" infraction of the season Tuesday night. This one came at 4:10 of the second period but did not lead to a Bruins’ goal. It appeared coach John Tortorella was yelling at defenseman Anton Stralman after the whistle but he indicated after the game he was unhappy the linesmen did not anticipate the play better. "It’s stupid, it [stinks], it’s brutal," Tortorella said. No rush Veteran F Brian Boyle remained a healthy scratch for the third straight game, with the Rangers coming into Tuesday having won two straight and Tortorella finally finding some balance with his lines. "I don’t necessarily look at it as urgency to get a guy in," Tortorella said. "I believe Brian will be a big part of it. I just don’t know when I change the lineup." D Stu Bickel and Steve Eminger also remained healthy scratches. Rooting interest Boyle and rookie Chris Kreider, former Boston College players, were in attendance Monday night at TD Garden as the Eagles won their fourth straight Beanpot Tournament with a 6-3 win over Northeastern.
