After yesterday’s head fake, the NY Rangers have started the process of acquiring Patrick Kane, having placed center Jake Leschyshyn on waivers this afternoon.
This move was needed to clear up cap space for the eventual Patrick Kane trade. The move was needed by today to clear enough cap space by the March 3 deadline.
