As promised, new Texas Rangers catcher A.J. Pierzynski is making a clean break from the city of Chicago. According to the Chicago Tribune, Pierzynski has sold his home in the Lincoln Park area for $1.75 million. He purchased the Victorian-style mansion in 2006 for $1.625 million. The sold home includes 3 1/2 bathrooms, original doors with working transoms, a De Giulio kitchen, a master suite with a white marble bath, a first-floor family room with a wet bar, and a garage-top deck. Pierzynski also owns a 6,600-square-foot home in Windermere, Fla., that he bought in 2007 for $3.6 million. Former Rangers general manager John Hart lives in the same neighborhood. Pierzynski signed with the Rangers as a free agent, ending an eight-year run with the Chicago White Sox.
