The Texas Rangers on Sunday acquired Zack Granite, a good-speed, no-power center fielder from Minnesota for minor-league right-hander Xavier Moore and considerations.

Granite, 26, had been designated for assignment earlier in the week.

Granite has been graded as having plus-speed, but his offense consists primarily of bunts and slapping the ball. In his major-league debut with the Twins in 2017, Granite hit .237 with a .290 slugging percentage in 93 at-bats.
