Jim Leyland suspected Ramon Santiago isn't yet 100 percent. And after playing half of Saturday's game, Santiago confirmed that assessment. "Not yet," Santiago, sitting on a sofa in the Tigers clubhouse, said after his afternoon was complete — with two walks to his credit. "Every day, it feels way better, and that's where we're working, to build it up every day and do a little bit more and more." Santiago missed the first two weeks of spring games with a right calf strain. He finally got back into the lineup Friday, and played four innings. He increased that workload to five innings Saturday. He's had plenty of time to stretch those legs out, both with work at short and second, and on the bases, with three walks through two games. And he said there's no issue with his legs. Still, Santiago is not without frustration. He went back to winter ball this offseason with the hope of getting his groove back following a miserable 2012 season at the plate.
