The Raiders re-signed free agent kicker Eddy Carmona, general manager Reggie McKenzie announced Tuesday. Carmona, a left-footed kicker out of Harding University in Arkansas, spent training camp and preseason with the Raiders in 2012 after originally signing as a non-drafted rookie free agent. He was out of football last year after being waived by the Raiders on Aug. 31. Carmona will once again will likely not make the Raiders’ roster with veteran Sebastian Janikowski firmly entrenched as the starter. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Carmona made 3-of-4 field-goal attempts in four preseason games last year, including 53- and 56-yard efforts. His 56-yard field goal came off the infield dirt at O.co Coliseum against the Detroit Lions on Aug. 25. He was also 4-for-5 on extra-point attempts.
