Rafa Benitez has warned that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have to win something to become legends. The Newcastle boss won the Champions League and FA Cup as Liverpool’s manager and were runners up in the league in 2009. While he is a massive fan of Klopp’s brilliant side, Benitez says fans remember winning cups, not exciting runs of results. The Spaniard says Liverpool “have the potential” to harvest a load of trophies in the next few years under Klopp – but the breakthrough cup is the hardest, and rivals are spending hundreds of millions. Newcastle hope to stop the Anfield juggernaut, including Mo Salah, who Benitez once tried to sign.
