The Denmark international will be out of contract in the summer and the Gunners management have shown no indication that they will be offering him a new contract. Bendtner has failed to shine in his limited chances this season and manager Arsene Wenger is likely to enter the transfer market to strengthen his strike force and bring in a top quality forward as cover for in-form Olivier Giroud. Stoke, Hull, Sunderland and Crystal Palace, who unsuccessfully tried to sign Bendtner in the summer, have all been linked with January swoops for his services. Arsenal could well be happy to sell so they can claw in some cash but the player may want to stay at the Emirates Stadium until his contract expires and test the free-agency market if he cannot go out on loan.
