Kelvin Sampson has landed his first major recruit at Houston. According to the Indianapolis Star, Purdue transfer Ronnie Johnson decided to become a Cougar on Thursday while on a visit to Houston. "(Coach) Sampson is ready to get it rolling again at Houston with the rest of the coaching staff," Johnson told the Star. Johnson, a point guard, averaged 10.8 points and 3.7 assists per game last season as a sophomore for the Boilermakers. After sitting out the 2014-15 season due to transfer rules, he'll have two years left to play for the Cougars.
