First baseman Albert Pujols will return to the Angels' lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Red Sox at Angel Stadium, serving as the designated hitter after sitting out each of the team's past four games with a calf injury. Pujols was diagnosed with right calf inflammation during Wednesday's game at Fenway Park. The 32-year-old hoped to return for this past weekend's three-game series against the Tigers, but he felt sore while running on Saturday and manager Mike Scioscia chose to sit him out until the team returned home.
