Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price has a lower-body injury and will not play against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; SN, TVA Sports, NHL.TV). The Canadiens called the injury minor and said the decision to keep Price out Saturday was a preventative measure. "Carey suffered a minor injury and will be evaluated on a daily basis," coach Claude Julien told the Canadiens website.. "We are going to be recalling a goaltender for precautionary reasons because we don't know what Carey's situation will be tomorrow. So again, that signifies the fact that he's got a minor injury. "I don't know [when Price was injured]. I just know that this morning my trainer advised me that he wasn't 100 percent." Al Montoya will start against the Jets.
