With the return date of Rajon Rondo still up in the air the Celtics are searching for someone to fill the void at point guard. Undrafted rookie Phil Pressey made a pretty good pitch for the job Wednesday night in a 103-102 preseason loss to the Knicks in Providence. Pressey out of Missouri and son of former Bucks All-Star and ex-Celtics assistant Paul Pressey had 13 points seven assists and perhaps most important no turnovers in his first NBA game. Teammate Avery Bradley said not being drafted hasn't diminished Pressey's confidence coming into the league. "He's confident" Bradley said at practice on Thursday. "Me and Rondo have been on him. We knew he wasn't drafted and has a point to prove." New C's coach Brad Stevens was more than pleased with Pressey's play Wednesday.
