The Premier League has recorded just one positive coronavirus case from 1,197 samples of players and coaches in the fifth round of testing before the 2019/20 season resumes.

The news takes the number of positive cases to 13 from 5,079 tests across all 20 clubs since testing began, with plans still being made to restart the campaign with two fixtures on June 17.

The unnamed individual who has tested positive for coronavirus will now be forced to self-isolate for a period of seven days, although training and preparation for matches will continue at their club.

Aston Villa will face Sheffield United in the first match when the season can resume on June 17, with Manchester City's fixture against Arsenal due to take place later that evening.
