Premier League clubs are reportedly considering using an app that would send virtual cheers and jeers into stadiums.

The league is currently drawing up plans on the safest way to restart the 2019/20 campaign after it was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Project Restart’ is likely to see matches played behind closed doors and there have been talks of having games at neutral venues.

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal have held talks with a German technology company who have developed an app with four choices for generating noise for supporters that would then be played at the empty grounds.
