The Nashville Predators chose Philip Tomasino with the 24th overall pick of the 2019 NHL Draft.

Tomasino, who was projected by many to be a mid-to-late first-round pick, took a significant step forward in his draft year with a 48-point improvement over his 2017-18 production.

He also impressed at the Under-18 World Championship, racking up five points in six games.

The Mississauga, Ontario-born center wasn't among the top 25 goal scorers in the OHL in 2018-19, but he did lead the league with 12 game-winning markers.
