Amanda Staveley has signed a non-disclosure agreement with Newcastle United, taking the club a step closer to a sale. Michael Ashley put the club up for public sale on Monday and wants to hand the club over by Christmas. Staveley, who runs investment company PCP Capital Partners, has shown interest in a number of clubs, including Liverpool, but has taken constructive talks with the top brass at St James' Park to the next level, reports the Newcastle Chronicle's Lee Ryder. She has now entered a due diligence period and believed to be ready to make a bid of around £300m.
