Leafs sniper Phil Kessel ended a six-game goal drought Tuesday night and once again proved he is a different player from the previous two seasons. Kessel hit the scoresheet in the second period of an eventual 3-2 loss in overtime to New Jersey at the Air Canada Centre. His 17th of the season tied Chicago's Jonathan Toews for the league lead. A year ago, Kessel drew as much attention for his slumps as he did for his hot streaks. This season, a drought rates far less attention. Kessel and Joffrey Lupul continue to carry the Leafs.
