Police are investigating a report that Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Daryl Washington was involved in a domestic violence incident in Phoenix. A woman called police Wednesday afternoon claiming she was assaulted by Washington earlier that day, according to the Phoenix Police Department. According to police, they had not made contact with Washington as of Wednesday night. Washington, a Pro Bowler last season, was suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. It wasn't clear what he did to warrant the suspension. Last September, Washington signed a six-year contract extension.
