Ethan Morton's college decision came down to not one special moment but an accumulation of them.

He took note of the impressive crowd support when he visited Mackey Arena for a non-conference game early in the 2017-18 season. He slowly developed a relationship with Purdue coach Matt Painter, who made multiple trips to western Pennsylvania in pursuit of the top 50 national recruit.

Then came the in-home visit with Painter, assistant Steve Lutz and director of basketball operations Elliot Bloom on May 1. Morton said it "sealed the deal."

When Morton called Painter on Monday night, the Boilermakers had the point guard they long coveted for their 2020 recruiting class. The top 50 prospect announced the decision to family and friends Thursday night before announcing on social media that he was joining Mishawaka Marian guard Jaden Ivey as Boilermaker commitments in the 2020 class.
