The Flyers dressing room at Skate Zone was empty except for a couple of reporters and the new Russian goaltender who says the darndest things. On this beautiful fall day following a Flyers practice, Ilya Bryzgalov instructed a reporter to get his writing done so that he could get home to get in some outside play time with the kids. "I don't have children," the reporter responded. "No children?" shot back Bryz, a 31-year-old who is married with a young son and daughter. For the next 30 seconds, Bryz threw on his Dr. Phil hat suggesting it was time to get busy building a family. His short speech was comical philosophy in a thick Russian accent — funny stuff. The show went on until the reporter interrupted Bryz to say that his wife wasn't able to have children. Bryz shut up, then walked up to the reporter, threw his big arm around the fellow's shoulder and said, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. That was insensitive of me. Please forgive me."
Playoff time will tell tale of Bryzgalov
