The Backyard Brawl has been extended for four more years, as Pitt and West Virginia will play each other every season from 2029 through 2032, the schools announced Wednesday. The news comes less than five months ahead of the renewal of their rivalry, as the Panthers will host the Mountaineers in the 2022 season opener on Sept. 1.
The home-and-home series will alternate through 2025, and again from 2029 through 2032. Pitt will host the 2029 game.
