Coach Lawrence Frank was marveling about Ben Wallace less than 24 hours after the Pistons veteran turned back the clock to his defensive-player-of-the-year days. Wallace, 37, played 18 minutes in place of an ineffective Greg Monroe on Tuesday night at the Palace, battling Spurs big man Tim Duncan in the Pistons' 99-95 loss. Wallace scored nine points (including a three-pointer) and grabbed five rebounds. Frank said before Wednesday night's game that Wallace was an example of how a player can impact the game without being an offensive threat. "When people talk about impacting a game without scoring, to me the league is always talking about two guys in the last 10 years -- Ben Wallace and Jason Kidd," Frank said. "Those are the two guys at two different positions."
