The Yankees aren't the only team looking to improve their rotation this Winter. New York's quest to become a super team appears to have hit a snag, as several teams have now entered the race to snag former All-Star pitcher Gerrit Cole from the Pittsburgh Pirates. The news shouldn't come as a surprise, as good pitching is always hard to come by. And as arguably the best starting pitcher available this Winter, the Pirates are hoping to reach a premium deal for their star hurler. With that being said, a deal with the Yankees now appears to be dwindling.
