Suns swingman Grant Hill did many things well last season but for one important area --protecting his body from his desire. There are times in games that he does it well, taking numerous falls to the floor without injury. Outside of games, Hill practiced too many times when he was ailing or worked out too hard when his body needed a break. Hill sat out Saturday night's open scrimmage and Sunday's practice to make a change about that. Hill has been troubled by a sore right knee and made it worse by playing in Thursday night's scrimmage at Grand Canyon. "A normal season is a marathon," Hill, 39, said. "This is going to be an ultra-marathon. It's going to be a dogfight. Alvin (Gentry) said to be smart and get ready.
