The Phillies continue to search for a pitcher.

Philadelphia has "investigated the possibility of trading for" Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke, according to a report from NBC Sports Philadelphia.

The 35-year-old right-hander holds a 10-4 record with a 2.95 ERA in 20 starts so far this season. He has struck out 114 and walked just 16 in 128 innings pitched.

Greinke, a six-time All-Star, signed a massive six-year, $206.5 million deal with the Diamondbacks in December 2015. He has also pitched for the Royals, Brewers, Angels and Dodgers over his 16-year career.
