Apparently Holland's is so bad it has left him on crutches with a badly swollen foot. Forward James van Riemsdyk told TSN's Mark Masters it is the worst he's ever seen. Holland was skating in new skates and lace bite can be a common problem when breaking them in, but this sounds abnormally severe and painful. Maple Leafs head coach called the injury “crazy,” when addressing reporters after the morning skate. Holland has appeared in 35 games with the Maple Leafs this year and has 11 points. Toronto may have to call up a player from their AHL team as Carter Ashton is also questionable for Saturday's game with an injured hand.
