The employment history on the back of Shane Doan's trading card begins with three letters: WIN. They are short for Winnipeg, where he spent his rookie season. They were not a harbinger of victories and trophies to come. "After the Minnesota game, a couple of (opposing players) congratulated me on finally winning a banner," said Doan, whose Coyotes are division champions for the very first time. "They thought that was pretty neat." And now, after 16 years of loyal service, including eight years as team captain, Doan is the sentimental favorite of the 2012 NHL playoffs, where a winding melodrama in Phoenix is coming to its cliffhanger.
