Over the weekend, word came out that Percy Harvin's frustrations with the Minnesota Vikings stemmed not from his contract, but were rooted in the "scope of the passing game," according to Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports. Given the struggles of quarterback Christian Ponder this past season, one might think that Harvin being frustrated with the passing game might be a veiled shot at the Vikings' starting quarterback. However, if the relationship between Harvin and Ponder is strained, that would be news to Ponder. This is from an interview he did with Paul Allen on KFAN-FM On wanting Percy Harvin to return: "Obviously we want Percy back. He's a tremendous player and he's a Viking. And those are tough shoes to fill and we don't want to fill them. He's a heck of a player and a heck of a part of this offense and this team in general. Of course we want him back." On if he and Harvin have a good relationship: "Yeah ... during the offseason last year [we] spent some extra time together and we had conversations, and he was great for me. He was like, ‘If you're ever watching film, shoot me a text or call me and tell me I need to be watching this.' Yeah, we had a good relationship."
