Penn State's 2018 recruiting class just took a major hit. Five-star quarterback Justin Fields, who is the top-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the class, has decided to decommit. Fields, who hails from Kennesaw, Georgia, has been attracting serious interest from SEC programs recently. Just this weekend he earned an invitation to The Opening — a camp hosted by Nike for the best college football recruits in the country. The prevailing theory as to why Fields has been looking at other schools recently is that Penn State has a loaded quarterback room. It would likely take longer and be more difficult for him to get on the field than at nearly every other school.
