Penguins winger Tanner Glass has a broken right hand and, according to coach Dan Bylsma, will be out three to four weeks. In addition, defenseman Paul Martin has an unspecified injury. He is not expected to play Wednesday when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit Consol Energy Center, but he will need further evaluation to determine how long he will be out, Bylsma said. Glass has two goals, six points in 24 games. He ranks second in the NHL with 99 hits. Martin has two goals, 11 points in 23 games and has been a key figure at times on the power play. Three other players -- forwards Sidney Crosby and Jussi Jokinen and defenseman Brooks Orpik -- did not practice today. Byslma said they were all given maintenance days.
