It has been a busy day in the camp of the Seattle Seahawks. Among the huge news was the trade of defensive end Michael Bennett and a seventh-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a fifth-round pick and wide receiver Marcus Johnson. Many viewed the trade as somewhat lopsided in favor of the Eagles. Now, that the dust has settled a bit, this newest piece of news has come about. The New England Patriots reportedly would have given up a third-round pick in exchange for Bennett and a fifth-round pick. But, the Seahawks did the classy thing and stuck with the Eagles’ offer which they reportedly received first.
