The Eagles were able to escape the Meadowlands with a narrow victory over the Giants, but may have lost a critical member of their secondary for at least a short amount of time. Following the game, cornerback Patrick Robinson reported concussion-like symptoms and now is in concussion protocol, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com (Twitter link). Robinson, 30, signed with the Eagles this past offseason and has started on the boundaries for all of the team’s games in 2017. Philadelphia’s success on the defensive side of the ball mainly stems from their exceptional front seven, but the secondary has produced well in their own respect thus far, especially considering the generally low expectations entering the year.
