The Lions shocked the NFL world over the weekend when they traded former No. 1 overall pick Matthew Stafford to the Rams for Jared Goff, two first round picks and a third round pick. Multiple reports had confirmed that the Rams weren’t the only team interested in trading for the Lions’ quarterback, and to no one’s surprise the Panthers were one of the teams involved in the frenzy.
However, according to Albert Breer in today’s edition of the MMQB, the Panthers were one of the more aggressive teams involved in the attempt to land the former No. 1 pick.
