We already know that the Carolina Panthers are going to be in the market for upgrades at receiver this spring. The team made this abundantly clear during the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis earlier in the week. This has led to various reports noting the the Panthers themselves are a possible landing spot for franchise tagged Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Unfortunately for those looking to see a Cam Newton to Landry connection this coming fall, that’s reportedly not going to happen. According to Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer, Carolina is not interested in trading for the young pass catcher. Landry, 25, is slated to count north of $16 million under the franchise tag next season. Though, he’s said to be looking for a deal surpassing what Davante Adams received from the Packers during the 2017 season.
