At the end of the 2018 season, the Carolina Panthers bid farewell to All-Pro center Ryan Kalil - A team captain and perhaps the franchise's greatest offensive lineman of all-time. As it turns out, Panthers left tackle Matt Kalil will now be following his older brother out the door.

On Thursday afternoon, the Panthers announced that they have released Matt Kalil after two seasons with the team. The Panthers' move to release Kalil comes one day before his salary for the 2019 season was reportedly guaranteed. Max Henson of the Panthers stated that Kalil has been designated as a Post-June 1 cut.
