For the second straight week it wasn’t quite a thing of beauty. But maybe these are the types of games the Green Bay Packers need to win come January. Behind a stingy defense running back Eddie Lacy and a timely Aaron Rodgers heave the Green Bay Packers weathered two more injuries to beat the Baltimore Ravens 19-17. James Jones (leg) and Randall Cobb (knee) both left Sunday’s game with injuries instantly changing the game plan for Green Bay on offense. Lacy rushed 23 times for 120 yards. With weapons in short supply Rodgers completed only 17 of 32 of his passes. He did however get the Ravens to bite on play action for a 64-yard score to Jordy Nelson. Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco wouldn't go away without a fight. Flacco connected with Tandon Doss for 63 yards on fourth and 21 and then hit Dallas Clark for a touchdown to slice to lead to two points with 2 minutes 4 seconds left. But on third and 3 with 1 minute 53 seconds to go Rodgers hit tight end Jermichael Finley across the middle of the field and Finley raced upfield for 52 yards. Green Bay improves to 3-2.
