The Green Bay Packers have already begun to trim their roster on Saturday. According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, the Packers released running back Darrin Hall.

Green Bay claimed Hall from the Cincinnati Bengals in July and he was competing for a roster spot in the preseason. With the release of Hall, the Packers are now down to five running backs on their roster but it remains to be seen if the current group is the group that takes the field in Week 1.

Hall was an undrafted rookie out of Pittsburgh and played in all three preseason games for Green Bay. The undrafted rookie accounted for 39 yards on 10 rushing attempts. The Pittsburgh product had his best game against the Baltimore Ravens where he had seven carries for 31 yards.
