According to Tony Pauline, Washington State S Jalen Thompson is expected to be the only player selected in Wednesday’s supplemental draft.
Pauline lists the Cardinals, Packers and Texans as the teams most likely to select Thompson. Pauline mentions teams have Thompson graded around a fourth or a fifth-round talent and he’s expected to be selected with a sixth or seventh-round pick.
The Packers have demonstrated the most interest in Thompson, flying him out to their facility for medical checks and interviews.
Pauline says the Texans didn’t address the safety position in April’s draft and some in the organization believe Thompson could be a Day 1 starter for Houston.
