Ole Miss has picked up a verbal commitment from a talented junior college guard for the class of 2015. Rasheed Brooks, a 6-foot-6 wing at Southwest Tennessee Community College, told the Ole Miss staff today he'll be a Rebel. Brooks, originally from Mansfield, Ohio, will play one more year of JUCO basketball before enrolling at Ole Miss; he'll have two seasons of eligibility remaining in the SEC. Brooks profiles as an elite shooter and scorer at the college level. He scored 12.5 points a game as a freshman, with 4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.9 steals as well. New Ole Miss assistant coach Tony Madlock had been recruiting Brooks when the former was still at Auburn, and continued when he came to Oxford. Memphis and West Virginia were among the others interested, Southwest Tennessee coach Jerry Nichols said.
