Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is excited as any Manchester United fan by the prospect of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba playing together.

Fernandes has been sensational since arriving at United in January and the Portugal star has scored three goals and made four assists in his first nine games.

Pogba was United’s main creative force last season when Solskjaer returned to take over at Old Trafford and the French World Cup winner has recovered from his ankle surgery.

United supporters cannot wait to see them unleashed together when football returns and Solskjaer is adamant he can accommodate both stars in his midfield.

“Good players can always play together, so definitely that’s a big yes,” said the United boss. “But then I have got Scott, Fred, Nemanja, three players there.

“There are many games coming up and I’m sure we will find a good connection between them. As a coaching team we are looking forward to it.
