Chad Lindsay, who started four games at center last season, is not listed on Alabama's spring roster and is anticipated to transfer. Lindsay, along with tight end Harrison Jones and 29-year-old walk-on safety Jai Miller, was among the notable names not included on the Crimson Tide's updated roster. "Both those guys are guys that were fifth-year guys who have graduated who have decided not to come back and play," Saban said, referring to Jones and Lindsay. "We certainly appreciate the great job that they did when they were involved in the program and wish them well. They'll always be a part of what we've done here, and we certainly appreciate their efforts and contribution that they've had in the success of the program." Lindsay, a longtime reserve until he filled in for Ryan Kelly midway through the 2013 season and again in the Iron Bowl, would be a fifth-year senior. Because he graduated in August 2013, he is eligible to transfer anywhere and receive immediate eligibility. The same applies to Jones, the younger brother of former Alabama All-American offensive lineman Barrett Jones who saw spot time as a reserve tight end and was a regular on kickoff return.
