Former Miami RedHawks talent Michael Weathers has committed to play for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, a source told FanRag Sports on Sunday. Per NCAA transfer rules, Weathers will have to sit next season. A promising talent, during his lone collegiate season, Weathers averaged 16.7 points, 4.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game as a freshman. He also shot 43 percent from the floor. The 6-2 guard was a prolific scorer coming out of high school in Kansas. Having played for Shawnee Mission North High School, he was named First Team All-State during his junior and senior seasons. Weathers led the school to the Kansas 6A Championship in 2016. By the time his high school career was over. he finished as program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,626 points and all-time leader in steals with 189.
