Edmonton Oilers’ ongoing search for a big centre with skill took an interesting turn this morning, as the organization has officially announced it has come to terms with 19-year-old Russian prospect Bogdan Yakimov. Selected 83rd overall in the 2013 Draft, Yakimov went on to play 33 games in the KHL, connecting for 7 goals and 12 points in limited ice time with Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik (Nail Yakupov’s old team). He also represented Russia at the World Junior Hockey Championships.
