A little over a week before the season opener, Ohio State has lost its insurance policy at quarterback. Joe Burrow, the only QB on the roster behind starter J.T. Barrett with any game experience, broke a bone in his throwing hand Monday and will be out indefinitely, the school confirmed Wednesday morning. Burrow appeared in five games last season as a redshirt freshman, completing 22 of 28 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns.
