In what could only be described as a necessary, yet beneficial, move for both Bayern Munich and Christian Früchtl, the 20-year-old goalkeeper officially signed a loan agreement with 2.Liga side FC Nürnberg this morning.

Früchtl, who is held in high-regard at Bayern Munich and internationally for Germany, found himself in a precarious spot following the Bavarians’ acquisition of former Schalke 04 keeper Alexander Nübel (23) and the contract extension with Manuel Neuer.

In an effort to find first-team playing time, Früchtl has decided to move on a loan assignment to Der Club, where he is expected to get an opportunity to prove himself on the pitch.
