President Barack Obama has been busy racking up the phone minutes the last couple of days, recently calling not only American soccer stars Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard but Stanley Cup champion and Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown. With general manager Dean Lombardi beaming by Brown's side, the Ithaca, NY, native and the president had a quick conversation where Obama congratulated Brown and the Kings. Undaunted by the man on the other end of the phone, Brown even took the time to take a quick jab at President Obama. When the president said the Stanley Cup Final was a good series unless you're a New Yorker, Brown quipped "or a Chicago fan." Obama, a noted Chicago sports enthusiast, agreed before joking about Brown going there.
