The Oakland Raiders have expressed interest in Cowboys free agent cornerback Mike Jenkins, according to a source. Jenkins fell out of favor with the Cowboys last off-season when Dallas signed free agent cornerback Brandon Carr and traded up in the draft to select LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne. Jenkins lost his starting job with the Cowboys’ additions of Carr and Claiborne. Jenkins, who just turned 28 years old on Friday, added some value to his resume last season when he started working some at inside cornerback in the absence of injured slot cornerback Orlando Scandrick Jenkins wasn’t always happy with his situation but contributed in his spot duty. Jenkins has said he wants the opportunity to start again in the NFL and would like to sign a multi-year contract. The Cowboys drafted Jenkins in the first round of the 2008 draft and he appeared in one Pro Bowl during his five seasons in Dallas.
