The Smith brothers will play together again. Oakland senior Josh Smith on Tuesday night committed to Vanderbilt, where he will join his older brother, Emmanuel, who will be a freshman safety for the Commodores in the fall. The younger Smith made his announcement on ESPNU during "The Opening," an elite Nike camp held at the company's headquarters in Oregon. The event includes the top 150 prospects in the country. Josh Smith is ranked No. 229 in the country by ESPN. Smith told ESPN after his commitment that the Vanderbilt coaching staff has told him he will be able to compete for playing time at both outside and inside linebacker. "They are (a) very transparent coaching staff," Smith told ESPN. "They get right to the point. They are very passionate about the game of football and academics."
