Giants guard Chris Snee, who had hip surgery last month, said he got off crutches “a few days ago” and has started rehabbing. He will attend OTAs this offseason, he said, although he does not plan to participate extensively. “Do I expect to participate in OTAs? No,” he said. “Would I expect to do much anyway if I was healthy? Probably not.” While he rests and rehabs, the 31-year-old veteran is watching how the Giants handle teammate Kevin Boothe. The versatile lineman is currently a free agent, and Snee said he speaks with Boothe every day. “Kevin’s a good friend of mine,” Snee said. “He’s a face that I would like to see back. “He wants to come back,” Snee added. “I know he likes being here. And he’s been very valuable to us.” The Giants, however, have precious little room under the salary cap, and Snee knows that. To that end, he is open to restructuring his contract, he said, if the Giants “come up to me and want to talk. “I’ve done it in the past, and I’ll do it again,” he said. “But as of now, they have not (asked).” Read more:
