Canucks General Manager Jim Benning couldn’t have been more clear when he told TSN 1200 in Ottawa that the Sedin twins won’t ever be shipped out of Vancouver. “Yes, that’s safe to say,” Benning said when asked if the twins will finish their careers in Vancouver. “They’re still really good players for us…they’re our leaders. “They’re players that we want our young players, as we transition young players into our organization, to rub elbows with in the dressing room and to see how hard they work in practice, and to be the mentors to our young players…they’ll retire Vancouver Canucks.”
